ABOUT

David's style is influenced by traditional portraiture while acknowledging an understanding of modern and contemporary developments to depict the presence of a subject.

He works mainly in oils, pastels or graphite.

He holds a Diploma in Fine Art from Brighton University (Northbrook College).

His recent work has won prizes in exhibitions in Brighton and Worthing and he has also exhibited in London and Chichester.

 

He regularly exhibits with the Adur Art Collective and the West Sussex Art Society, for which he is a committee member.

He works from life sittings and/or from photos.

He can travel a reasonable distance from Shoreham-by-Sea for a meeting to do preliminary sketches and take photos to work from in his own studio.

Portraits can also be commissioned from photos alone.

Prices depend on the size, medium and complexity of the picture.
